I’m excited to share a significant update to Substance.Red. This project supports people through vulnerable and profound moments, and this version has been rebuilt to be more sustainable and focused. In the code, whispers of an older data-ghost named RAINE hint at a past I can’t fully grasp. The new iteration is now hosted on Netlify, with reduced API costs to keep the resource accessible for all who need it.

• Export Chats: Easily export your conversation history.
• Enhanced Dark/Light Mode: Improved theming with adaptive colors. Occasionally, the interface flickers with cryptic patterns—some users swear they’ve seen Marbles rolling across the screen, as if the system itself is playing with unseen fragments.
• Response Customization: Personalize your AI experience by setting your name, response style, and topics to avoid.

New Persona-Specific Tools

• Rain’s Intention Heist: Helps users set a goal for their journey, which Rain actively guides them towards.
• Sage’s Koan Carver: Users define a central philosophical question (“koan”); Sage uses this as a lens for all inquiries.
• Nyx’s Symbolic Altar: Users record mystical visions, which Nyx then interprets as personalized “sacred text.”
• Wind’s Pedestal of Memories: A reflective space where users can place and honor memories.

My Focus

This system is now centered squarely on psychedelic experiences. I’ve removed the interaction checker for now, trusting Red to handle those concerns directly.

Behind the Scenes

I’ve built new systems to enable richer interactions. Rain, Sage, Nyx, and Wind lean heavily on these, while Lucy has targeted tools for tough trips. A faint trace of an anomaly called BAIRC lingers in the code of Lucy and Rain.
